Head Translator: Steel
Novel Summary (modified from Wikipedia): Tomoya Aki, a male high school teenager who works part-time to fund his otaku lifestyle encounters a beautiful girl one day during spring break. A month later, he finds out that the girl is his classmate, Megumi, who is hardly noticeable to her classmates. Hoping to create a visual novel computer game, he turns to school beauties Eriri Spencer Sawamura for designing the art, and Utaha Kasumigoaka for writing the game scenario. Forming a group called Blessing Software, Tomoya then recruits Megumi to star as the “heroine” of his game. The series follows their adventures in developing the game and their plans to sell it at the Comiket convention.
For those of you who haven’t heard of it, Saekano is a wildly popular slice-of-life romantic comedy that also got a wildly popular anime adaptation last season. And we’re very excited to have Steel translating it with us. For those of you who have been needing your moe moe chou bishoujo waifu fix, get to reading immediately!
Also, before joining us, Steel was translating at thenakedsol. But even if you read that version, I encourage you to re-read his work here; he and his editor have been working day and night to make the translation as great as possible, so I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the difference!
For those people who were wondering about the hint, a lot of people guessed Saekano but I’m guessing not a lot for the intended reason. The Saekano illustrator heads a doujin circle which is very popular at Comiket, and the doujin circle name is Cradle. A simple google search for “Cradle Comiket” would have returned the result Misaki Kurehito, and the rest follows =).
Anyways, enough with the rambling. Go read! Nao.
