Novel Summary (from Wikipedia): “I don’t like you anymore.” Broken-hearted, Zhang Shaoyu went home with a sourness in his chest. It was the Nth time he got rejected by a girl, but little did he know his rather ‘ordinary’ life changed later that night. When he was sleeping, he was suddenly woken up in the middle of the night to see a beautiful girl floating in front of his balcony. Before he said anything, the girl vanished and began to battle someone high up in the sky–
The next morning, Zhang Shaoyu woke up on his sofa, remembering nothing of what happened that night, and went to school normally. However, later that day, a mysterious girl suddenly appeared before him.
“I want to be your girlfriend!”
A Chinese web novel? What? A lot of people might be a bit surprised by this. But there’s so much content being created over there that is not too far from the normal LN “feel” that it seems a waste to ignore everything. And victorrama has been a longtime member of our staff, is fluent in Chinese, so it was also a waste of his talents to not give him a chance.
Anyways, this story is about… actually you really don’t want to listen to me talk. I’ll let the translator explain instead:
So! My Girlfriend Is A Magical Girl (let’s say MagicalGF to make it easier) is a chinese original Web Novel (WN). But unlike Wu Xia or Xian Xia, this one is very similar to your usual japanese LN! It tells the tale of a rather ‘unfortunate’ boy who by a twist of fate meets a beautiful girl ( Who is secretly a magical girl/mage ! ). Sounds plain? Sounds cliche? You might want to read it before complaining, and see epic moments one after another! My Girlfriend Is A Magical Girl starts now!
Well, you heard the man. Get to reading! Also, be sure to provide feedback if you can, especially since this is our first (experimental) project in Chinese translations. Feedback is crucial not only for victorrama’s sake, but will also help us decide how best to service the fan community with these new translations.
